Alla Prima and the Nude Figure with Mike Garcia In this class, students will learn a clear method of quickly painting the nude model from life in oils. These concepts will simplify the art of oil painting into a practical yet flexible process with fast results. Topics discussed will include: • Color theory and mixing • Value relationships • Observation of basic proportions • Design • Paint application • Procedural strategies Class demonstrations and one-on-one critiques will be offered each day while the students employ the lessons in hands-on practice. Tuition $210 Saturdays 11am-2pm December 3rd,10th,17th Supplies: Canvas pad or four canvas panels, size 12x16 in.
